Directions for Use

Samrat’s Epoxy Resin 513 is a clear coat that is suitable for any type of stone including Italian stones. It can repair all minor surface defects such as hair-thin cracks, large cracks, pores and fissures.

It imparts slight wet-look impression to the coated surface.

Epoxy Resin 513 is self-levelling and therefore can also be used as a Lamination Coating for industrial use, i.e., the surface does not need to be polished once the resin has cured.

For most stones:

Grind the stone using desired set of abrasives
Thoroughly mix 2 parts in weight of Epoxy Resin 513 Part A with 1 part of Epoxy Resin 513 Part B
Coat the surface with the resin mixture using a cotton roller
Ensure to coat in straight long swaths in two mutually perpendicular directions along the surface of the stone
Allow at least 24 hours for the coating to cure completely
Polish the stone to reveal a shiny surface with slightly enhanced color and all surface deformities repaired

For a particularly damaged stone:

Thoroughly mix 2 parts in weight of Epoxy Resin 513 Part A with 1 part of Epoxy Resin 513 Part B
Coat the stone surface with the resin mixture using a cotton roller before grinding
Ensure to coat in straight long swaths in two mutually perpendicular directions along the surface of the stone
Allow at least 24 hours for the coating to cure completely
Grind the stone to reveal a smooth surface with most of the surface deformities filled and repaired
Coat the grinded surface again with the resin mixture in a similar fashion
Allow at least 24 hours for the coating to cure completely
Polish the stone to reveal a shiny surface with slightly enhanced color and all surface deformities repaired
